Part of my breed decisions right now is guessing what breeds I may want to continue with on my own. But I don't have enough birds to be able to keep a roo of each breed currently. So I had sorta decided on the Barred because I wasn't planning on keeping a rooster. Same with the Easter Eggers. But now of course you've got me re-considering. Thing is the Dominique was on my to-get list a few weeks ago lol.

I'm lucky that I have a small family hatchery within driving distance that raises their own or mostly sources from local breeders, so I do have a selection of good dual purpose birds available. But of course the quality isn't going to be as good as most specialized breeders.

I was born in Toronto. Much more temperate climate, but the humidity made everything more intolerable.

My husband and kids were born in Halifax. It always amazed me to see a hospital just for birthing babies!
