My youngest DS's b-day in the same date...Dec. 23.
I couldn't always control what the relatives did, but I always kept his birthday and Christmas separate. Only seemed right.

oh my gosh is shew really stubborn evil sign.gif

I always thought it was more laziness than anything. But that's just me :D

Grandma had 11 Children she was 50 when she had my Ma... Lazy no, Crazy probably

My sister's birthday is Dec.27. I don't remember but I guess she was just given gifts on Xmas day. At some point she let her feelings out and we realized how important it was to keep the occasions separate. Plus birthday gifts had to be wrapped in birthday paper.

My grandmother's birthday was Christmas Day. My mom always celebrated by inviting lots of relatives and had tons of food - my mom was a great cook. I honestly don't remember if she got gifts or not. But she loved all the fuss. I really loved my grandma.
She had a wild sense of humor and would laugh until tears rolled down her cheeks.

My sister got a camera one year and took grandma's picture. The flash surprised her so badly - she nearly leaped for the ceiling. But true to her personality, when she landed she just starting laughing. My mom did NOT share that sense of humor.

My grandma had a great sense of humor once she was not raising children

Sorry, i think i somewhat posted that on the wrong thread haha

why did you think that :idunno

My dad's birthday is the 25th, my mom's is the 27th and my sister's is January 1st.

Of course, I'm the oddball in the family and my birthday is in August.

I am oddball August also

I'm an odd ball too, July, and my brother June and my mom was also June. I think the war had lot to do with it. My sister was born in '42 and my father said he didn't get to see her till she was 3 yrs. old. He didn't know what to do with a kid that age, so ignored her.

He said he was home when I was born and apparently spoiled me quite a bit. Then decided I was "spoiled," and ignored me. My brother was the baby in the family and when he wasn't good at sports - yep our father ignored him too.

I never called him my dad. He wasn't! He was just a biological father period.
