I went in to see about getting one ear pierced. They wanted $30 and up! My other ear is pierced but when the cockatoo bit my right one the hole sealed over. For that much i will do it myself or get hubby to do it.

a dog does that they get put down think the bird would be appetizer here

Yeah but that's not safe, is it? But then again I don't really trust those mall stands anyway haha maybe you could find like a dedicated piercing shop or tattoo place? They might be mpre reasonable and more sanitary. But that might be hard to find in other areas, sometimes i forget how central to everything i am and that we have everything here

If we drive the 50 miles one way we will make Olympia where all these things are
we choose to live in the peace and quiet without all that at our doorstep

Those birds go for about $1000. Pretty pricey hors d'oeuvres.

I know sterile technique, got my LPN certificate. People have been piercing body parts for thousands of years. I know how to keep it clean too. For that matter i have a tattoo pen as well...

Just visit a zoo, they are messy and time consuming. Conures are terribly loud. That is why so many of them are loose in FL.
