Morning! It's been a few hours so I'll get a fresh pot going

Just catching up; on the birthday front my DH is also a holiday baby Dec 30. It's tough to do something "special" as usually we've been travelling visiting family and friends. But my parents were always sweet to give him something specific for his birthday.

Story from Christmas past (relating to the bad weather): My boyfriend (now DH) and I decided to go to his family for xmas dinner since we'd always been with my parents. My dad was pretty bummed about it but we though it was only fair. It was terrible weather and we had to drive several hours to get there. It took us a long time but we probably got there around 4pm at least. When we pulled up his grandma was leaving. When we got in, it turns out they had their meal already and so we just took some leftovers and microwaved them. It was the saddest xmas dinner I've ever had and was in stark contrast to the warm and loving day I'm used to with my family. Anyway, it was overall an unpleasant experience (in a long line of many others) and so we've never given them xmas day with us. Last year we didn't even see them or exchange gifts. I feel bad for his siblings (much younger), but I'm also not taking responsibility for his family. Sorry that was so long, no one needs to read it!

And, as for the happenings here, we're starting to get buried in snow :)

Too true.
Do you have everything ready if you do go?
What goodies did you bake?

Looks like I'm going to end up with 3 or 4 kinds of cookies, pumpkin bread and fudge. Not as much as I wanted to but I'm sure there'll be plenty at DB's house!

Good morning, all. Ready for Christmas here. All that I have to do is wrap the Princess's presents on Christmas eve. Today we will go to the movies.

Enjoy the movie Sour!

Some people just don't 'get' Christmas. Glad you're having better ones now!

Good morning everyone, I'm running late today. Love the snow flurries on the site this morning. Hope you guys have a great day!

They are fun! Did you find the snowmen and the candy canes on the Forum listing?

Cute!

I just popped in to wish you all Happy Holidays and a Very Merry Christmas.
Enjoy! :highfive:

Nice to see you here, come on back sometime when you can stay for a cup of coffee! Merry Christmas to you too!
