Bought a cordless drill & impact driver yesterday. Now I just need to get my chainsaw going and then I can start prepping for my massive coop expansion! Woo hoo!

I am planning on more... right now I have a shed. We're going to build off of that... a brooder coop, a cull coop & a turkey coop. Going to plant a garden around the runs just for the gang. CJ wants RIR for meat, I want to work on expanding my buckeye flock, and hopefully add chanteclers and partridge chanteclers. Partridge originated right here (Edmonton AB) so I somewhat feel patriotic about keeping the breed going.

Good morning Cafe'. Coffee tastes good this morning.

Had a hawk pick off one of the two welsummer juvies yesterday that a friend gave me for a present. Hawk sat right on the fence and glared at me until I could almost touch him, then flew up to the roof until I threw a rock at him.

Cutting the grape vines and putting up fencing today.

I had a Polish pullet carried off by a hawk. Soon afterwards i quit free ranging birds. So sorry you lost one like that.

It is foggy and 14F here, dropping temps all day to around 0F.
I am going to get my own fire started back up too.
