11.27 lb ewe lamb at 6PM... Up and nursing but first time mom is just a little wiggly so I will go out there every couple of hours until she stops moving for nursing.

actually my youngest kids... those ones born Sunday.... they are giving their mom no end of grief!

Today I heard mom, Mozzie, calling and calling, in the parking area looking at the house .... So I went and looked out the window... only saw one kid by her.

So I went outside and Mozzie walked to the paddock and started calling at the junk pile (bits of deck and some pallets). And yep... her little boy had been jumping about on the pile and then slipped into a bit of a cave made by the junk, and couldn't get back out.

Luckily a neighbor had stopped by, so he held the baby girl (who wanted to JOIN her brother ) While I moved stuff about and got the boy out.

He was all safe and sound.

Mozzie was thrilled to have both babies again.


3 hours later both kids were lost in the pile.

Guess we are moving the pile this weekend.

Well, the very close one is now bellering her fool head off and pawing. There is no way these critters would make it "out there" for birthing. They are very noisy and if I were a predator, I would check out this commotion for sure. I think two were what I would consider pretty quiet. Sheesh.... Coffee brewed.

Did you look for a hot water pot at costco? I have seen them there for a good price.

the old hot pot is in the garbage did not fin one at Costco but did at walmart it is Hamilton beach ticked me off many just plastic flimsy the one we bought is stainless
