BYC Café

Yea, cuz I was beginning to wonder if one of those pens was big enough to hold you for a couple of days :lau:clap

I know DH doesn't always think I am funny either. Truth be told if i didn't laugh at my jokes probably be very quiet after I told one
They don't make anything big enough or strong enough to hold me! :gig

Good morning Cafe peoples!

Time for that 1st (or 2nd or 3rd) cup of coffee and the water for tea is hot

Sean, good job on the building! And double good job on having some help for a while after your surgery...no sense in risking re-injuring a fixed injury (did that make sense?).

I'm taking DH to Cheyenne today for a root canal. You just know this is going to be a fun day :hmm Hopefully all goes well and he's back to his usual cantankerous self after.

Hope you all have a great day!

That's exactly how I build my pens. 3 sided pole barn, then I set additional poles for the runs. Depending on the width of each pen will determine the placement of poles for the sheltered area. I use metal roofing also, much easier to build and longer lasting than a composite roof.
I don't use the trusses method perse...I build mine with a slanted roof. The open side faces South, that end is the highest point of the pen. Mine are 9' on south end and 8' on the north end, with 7' high runs. Had to build split level pen due to slope of ground and not having any way to level the ground. Here's a few pics of the one enclosure I built close to my house.
