BYC Café

Hello cafe I hope everyone is doing well :frow

No coffee for me though, it's too late and I'd never get to sleep.

My new job is going well and it's nice to have the change of pace. Though the days are a bit too long for the little one at daycare so he's still adjusting. I'm also not used to being in an office all day again, but I get to have my lunch down by the lake so that's pretty nice.

@drumstick diva , my coworkers and I all headed to the park for FREE ice cream today. And it was Häagen-Dazs bars no less. My boss led the charge - I think we'll get along just fine!

All the chickens seem to be doing fine, but it will be much easier once everyone is integrated. Right now we're having to feed and water three different areas :p
You are very lucky!

@pertnear09 things are going as well as can be expected...the break doesn't hurt but the incisions and separating the muscles during the proceedure is excruciatingly painful:barnie...and I have a very, very, very high tolerance for pain...when I move, it actually makes me holler! Not something I do when in pain. Thank God for Tramadol!!!!:celebrate
ETA: isn't the old saying, "the cures worse than the symptom".

Maybe you need a new video game/system Sean. When my young son had his tonsils out the surgeon said" it's excruciating for the first five days and then it gets worse." She said it with a smile- no joke. I could not stand her.

I was so upset I bought a new video game for my son, he was so busy with that he never once complained. He was also great when he had 4 wisdom teeth extracted (they were coming in badly). Can't recall if I had to 'pony up' another video game or not.

I was a basket case both times. I could imagine the pain and it really affected me.

Yep, I just got the Tramadol today, didn't feel like going to get it yesterday after they discharged me. There's really nothing that will take this pain off my mind, except the Tramadol :lau I have to move, get up, lay down, do this, do that, soooo it's something I'll just have to endure until it gets better. Should only be another day, going by my pass experinces with broke bones and surgery. ;)

Morning Cafe! Time for a cup and a smile

Well, time for a cup anyway! Might take 2 cups to get to the smile part.

@007Sean glad you have something to help you get over the worst of the surgery pain. Do you have to do any therapy?

@Treerooted sounds like you're off to a good start with your new job (yay for free ice cream).

Morning Cafe :frow

Thanks for the coffee, Debby
Yep, it's a good thing that they make Tramadol :ya As far as therapy, I don't have any planned so far. Get a follow up x-ray, next Friday and will probably take me off the crutches. :celebrate

@sourland - it will resolve soon, as I usually heal extremely fast. Heck, the doc couldn't believe I was walking(if I wanted to) and I had no pain before the surgery.

@Treerooted - happy for you, in regards to the new job. Envious of the ice cream break.

Everyone make it a great day! :celebrate
