@pertnear09 things are going as well as can be expected...the break doesn't hurt but the incisions and separating the muscles during the proceedure is excruciatingly painful:barnie...and I have a very, very, very high tolerance for pain...when I move, it actually makes me holler! Not something I do when in pain. Thank God for Tramadol!!!!:celebrate
ETA: isn't the old saying, "the cures worse than the symptom".

There are days I live on tramadol but lidocane is my big friend also not sure I have osteo arthritis also lower back and spinal column neck closing

Treerooted 3 different areas - what a pain. Was it free ice cream day in the park? We never have anything like that.

I honestly don't remember lol. There was an e-mail about free ice cream but I don't know who was providing :) I work for a university in a hospital. I'm guessing it was some department I'm associated with

Tree Rooted have you ever had "Magnum ice cream bars," they are even better than H.D., Dove etc. I'm told they are European style but, I wouldn't know.

Yes! Only a couple times; nice thick chocolate on those I seem to recall

Sorry Penny, but I just can't "like" this post...I know what your going through with the pain...I just can't like that. :hugs I know you have days when you feel like this :sick or worse. With my high tolerance for pain, I live on Advil, (500 mg) it's usually enough for me...if not I have 3mg Morphine tablets but I hate the side effects of Morphine. Makes me sick at my stomach, and my muscles twitch really bad.:sick

I do understand I cannot will not go to morphine I keep my pain to a bearable level
a 8 not 15 lidocane liberally and deal with it :he and wiggle tail feathers often :bun
Yep, understand, my pain level everyday is around 8, from previous injuries years ago. I just ignore it, tune it out but if it goes to 10, then I feel it. (people who don't deal with the pain everyday, don't understand how I can just tune it out) Right now, it's above 10, so I'm glad I have Tramadol.:celebrateMorphine is a last resort.

Morning Cafe :frow

All the talk of ice cream had a bad influence on me. Had to run to town before work yesterday and somehow ice cream (and a lot of it ) jumped into my cart and is now happily residing in my freezer.

@007Sean when you mentioned Hydrocodone (sp?) that reminded me of my years in FL. Huge addiction epidemic of it all around us, but anytime I had to go to the doc or the couple of surgeries I had, that's what the docs prescribed :he Like you, I can't stomach the stuff so just did without.

Hope everyone has a great day!

P.S. Whoops, almost forgot to make the coffee!

Morning Cafe

Thanks for the coffee, Debby!

Yeah, for many years that's all the doctors would prescribe for pain or Tylenol 3 with codine or some other opiate. I don't understand how anyone could get addicted to that stuff? Makes me sick, I'd rather be in pain. :lau

Everyone make it a great day! :celebrate
