BYC Café

 My Dear Sweet Son is 19.

I cooked and baked with him when he was little. He seems to enjoy the eating more than the making. On his own he would most likely live on PB&J or ramen noodle :barnie.

I wonder if I can stretch our time out and make cinnamon raisin bread and then turn some of that into French toast :drool

My Grandaughter would be all for that!
:love She wants to have a dress for tea date:love I can't wait!

We did tea parties when they were little talked about candy and the play ground. When they got older I enacted dress for tea. We would all dress up have tea and a baked goodie and discuss the little stuff and the Big stuff too. It was an easy way to address growing up drama.

Oops rambling I am excited for French toast time
Good times!

I baked cinnamon swirl bread. It makes very good french toast

Ok, @007Sean, I bit the bullet and instead of not saying anything I gave my first un glowing review . But after lecturing you :smackI figured I better practice what I preach :thumbsupand so I get it.:sick

I hope the next article is a fun one.:clap

My 2 sons love to cook. My youngest will cook 3 separate meals if some of his family want something diffrent.
that gets old though. I told my Daughters that I was not a Short order cook at a restaurant. Dinner was dinner. If they did not want it, have a bowl of cereal...They almost never did that though!

I keep telling my son to do that so he does not have to spend all his off time cooking. Eventually he will get tired of it.

Menu planning can help. Each person picks a dinner and when they are old enough, help cook it. Eventually they make the dinner on tier own. My Daughters are all very good cooks while most of their peers do not cook much at all

Most of it is he's living with is MIL and she's a fussy eater.
So is is wife and daughter. His daughter is only 2 so that will be a while. And they will be moving soon so that will help some. Lol

You make me drool every time you talk about your adventures in the kitchen!

Ahh I had not been looking at authors. Good to know.

My Dad had a sign in his kitchen it said
For dinner you have two choices,
Take it
Or
Leave it.

I gave it to my daughter who has some very picky eaters!
Once when they were at Grandmas I was making corn bread. I add corn only for humans but I make some for the Ladies with mixed vegetables. I told them no complaining the vegetable ones are for the chickens.
I got :sick and Gross and another :sick
The Grandchildren, whom I love very much!, got chicken corn bread with their beef stew :clap
