BYC Café

No worries NFC, DH like his a little lighter than I do. (Being nice) I call it coff-tea ( if you can see through the it it is not coffee IMHO) DS asked the other day? " am I up in time for coffee?" I said yes he then said " no I meant coffee, not coff-tar!" :lau

:clapHe turned my sarcasm against me.

Gotta love a man with a sense of humor!

Two coffees are better than one! Morning! 52 and wet from all of the rain and more rain coming in today. Sean, I am pretty sure we are all alike in the pushing ourselves dept.
We are here in the cafe! I remember fencing on crutches with torn tendons in my ankle. (I fell out of the chicken coop one night and I have since fixed that horrid step.)
Just think of it as a dare. I dare you to take care of yourself for at least 11/12 ths of the day.

Or woman - or is that just sarcasm that I love about the Princess.

@007Sean, okay that's out of the way so get a new damn bucket. :p It used to irritate me when my doctor would say, "Well, you're not 25 anymore." He's right. I rearranged things a bit. Started sleeping a bit longer, and stopped looking in the mirror. I'm a control freak and tend to project way too much. I am struggling to live in the moment and am getting better at that. I'm not certain what the future holds for me, but can't worry about it and allow that worry to suck the joy out of today. Maybe you have too many birds, and maybe you don't. Now is not the time to make that decision. You know what Scarlet O'Hara said in "Gone with the Wind". "I'll think about that tomorrow." For today take M & M's advice - 11/12th self care.

My DS has asked that I show him how to make French toast :clap I love that he is showing an interest!

DH has me thinking now though, DS may have found a way to keep the Crazy Lady with the waggly pointy finger at bay! DH pointed out that if I "show him" how to make it I will already know "What on Gods green earth happened to my kitchen?"

Oh well at least we will have some time together without electronic internet devices :celebrate

Dirty kitchen or not, I think kids taking an interest in making stuff in the kitchen is a good thing. If they help make something, they're more likely to eat it. And the more likely they will go on to learn how to make more stuff...they might even figure out it's enjoyable! There are too many adults that don't know how to boil water, at least your son will know how to feed himself :thumbsup

 My Dear Sweet Son is 19.

I cooked and baked with him when he was little. He seems to enjoy the eating more than the making. On his own he would most likely live on PB&J or ramen noodle :barnie.

I wonder if I can stretch our time out and make cinnamon raisin bread and then turn some of that into French toast :drool

My Grandaughter would be all for that!
:love She wants to have a dress for tea date:love I can't wait!

We did tea parties when they were little talked about candy and the play ground. When they got older I enacted dress for tea. We would all dress up have tea and a baked goodie and discuss the little stuff and the Big stuff too. It was an easy way to address growing up drama.

Oops rambling I am excited for French toast time
