Sorry to hear about your losses. :hugs
Also sorry about hubby's day, don't he like the birds?
Scott
edit to add see any deer sign?

Actually, this group of birds are his favorites of all my birds, and the one that went missing was his favorite of the group.

Good news on the deer sign though. Didn't find as much as we hoped for, but still found quite a bit. It may still be early for rubs and scrapes, as it hasn't been really cold yet.

Saw 1 alive and 2 dead bucks along the interstate on the way home too.

WV, so sorry to hear about your loss

Thanks NFC. The good news is he said last night "we'll have to get more of them"... I said I can hatch some of their babies?

He's going today to look for traps, in case it was a fox or something that got the second bird.

Forgot to say yesterday -- Bunny, I love the costumes. That's such a cool idea. I'd love to see a contest like that in person some day.

Saw this on FB and thought it was cute:

Those girls aren't looking very amused, are they?

All right WV, hatch away!

Sorry you lost a couple of chickens,WV. The disappearing act is always the worst, in my book anyway.
Happy Monday everyone! Today near 60, by Friday, snow and lows of 22. It's just 40 degrees! How is that such a big difference? Now I have to work on the water heater set-ups.
Beautiful spike buck in the yard today. Taunting the DH and showing off. It was awesome.......

Thanks Margie. I agree, not knowing what happened to her hurts worse. Supposed to be 70+ here this week! Unbelievable. Then we will fall to the 30's by next week.

Scott, I learned that lesson too. Never at a deer, but wild turkeys haven't fared so well..

No hunting at least for us but it sounds like a lot of the neighbors are, lots of gunfire the past couple of days. Either hunting or a really exciting weekend (hard to tell around here).

Just gone done planting over 60 sweet onions. I'm hoping these actually do something, unlike the other onions we've tried.
