I think I heard the one pumpkin per plant thing but never heard of the one vine runner part. Will try that next year.

That's how they grow the 1000 lbs. monsters. You can do that to each vine runner on the plant and get a few more pumpkins per plant. They just won't get as big as a 1pumpkin 1 plant scheme.

That makes sense! Would that make my jack o lanterns bigger too!? And maybe I could leave one runner but a couple flowers for the jack o lanterns? Or only like two runners? Or I guess just plant more plants haha

Mine only got to 39.6 pounds. Disappointed. I thought it'd be at least 70 or at the very least 50 lol

Thank you!! It looks huge, at least to me, which is why I thought it'd weigh more, but it's still pretty awesome; I could barely hold it to carry it out front

I took pictures with it when I picked it Saturday. Probably a little early but I really wanted to weigh it. Especially since I had taken pictures of the others too. Speaking of which, have pictures of those too. All the pumpkins from this year so far.
