Totally understandable and sorry if it seemed like I was on one, just found it interesting. Personally I think everyone should be breeding for that type but of course the traditional one is "cute." Also seems people like to keep them obese :/ might not have such bad issues if they were kept trim. I've seen a couple trim/fit pugs and it's incredible but very weird/different looking. Same with Labs. And of course people think you're starving them lol

a saying that a judge said to me as she put a puppy of mine to breed over known Champions from puppy bitch class 6-9 months She also went on to first in group, herding

We had a BYC member years ago called "Rebel," believe he lived in Georgia. He bred Pugs but with longer muzzles and had no trouble selling them.

Oh okay thanks and wow that's awesome!! Everyone should be breeding for better dogs, and many claim they do or the "betterment of the breed" yet breed to what wins in the show rings.

Thats awesome! I know "puggles" are popular but those are more of a designer dog rather than for the benefit but I guess if those sell then maybe longer nosed pugs could too

Red the male I showed and loved had a bit longer but just not enough I did the nares on him

I will never advocate the designer breeds NEVER they get tossed as often but only increase the dumping of dogs why be so money hungry it is not the love of breed

Yeah, I don't agree with the designer dogs, mostly all puppy mill dogs, but was simply saying that they usually have slightly longer noses and people still think they're cute so maybe people could think longer nose retro pugs are too.
