Use to talk with Ma every day was one of the hardest things as I lost her and still brings tears

I took care of both my parents for the last 25 years of their lives. I miss them both but especially my dad! We use to converse in Comanche, much to the disliking of the rest of the family....they were ashamed of their heritage/culture, my dad and I were not. My mom could speak a little but not enough to carry on a conversation, just basically phrases or single words she had picked up from my dad.

I learned some French in school. I wish i knew Spanish.

I know enough of both to be dangerous! Along with German, too!

The only two I'm fluent in are English and Comanche.

I don't think anyone's brain is like it used to be- I think the more you use it, the faster it goes.

I miss my mom a lot- sometimes I think I hear her working in the kitchen and even go down to check. Maybe I wake up from a dream too soon
