You did read about how fast the Fire moved? Management did not make that happen suddenly. Climate change did it.
We need to watch that part! A lot of dedicated and professional people work on Wild land management.
I do not want to get political but will say that There is a tendency to blame the victim which is terrible. "Someone" with little understanding wants to blame anything but climate change...even with a report that says it is the cause!
Yes! Others and not You.I agree on both is what I mean sorry if you thought I was saying others

The fire in Paradise started in a National Forrest and is Federalyy maintained not by the State. Most of the fire was in Private land.I don't think we know enough to say it's all climate change. California has mismanaged money for so long. Everyone wants to live in paradise but California isn't that without human intervention. The forest service did not manage the land well and hasn't been proactive in caring for the forests. So while climate contributes, humans have done much directly to screw things up there.
Also, with regard to mammoths and mastodons, I've read many theories, but we don't really know what happened. It's all theory and educated guesses. Like climate change.
Yes, we are over 20" above normal and expecting 2" today. At least it is not ice or snow, we are at 43°.You've struck lucky. Coffee on the stove and raincoats hanging by the door.
All my plans for the day washed away. The places I need to go to do things are a complete mud bath!
It seems nobody can remember such a wet year.
