Legos 2.jpg

Having my son was was a great excuse for buying all the lego sets I could. Payback time for 28 hours of back labor. My favorite was a monorail train - very sophisticated - loved it.
Had even bought a 6 ft. table to assemble a city with train, etc. but, no way to dust legos. Tried with cheesecloth covering the nozzle of a canister vac. Didn't work. My son started coughing a lot. Doctor said he had asthma and dust didn't help. Also had to have carpet removed from his bedroom floor and curtains taken down(as dust catchers) etc.

Didn't help. Another doctor said he didn't have asthma. Truly he didn't.

I used to make all the models and then let my son play with them. As he grew I let him assemble the kits and I would play with them. Eventually we both got lego-ed out. Had enough pieces and 3 train sets, etc. filled more than a tall garbage can. Put an ad in the Free penny saver and first caller took them. The man said it wasn't for his kids, he loved legos . I had lots of extra rare pieces you could buy through the mail(at that time.)

The $$ helped pay his doctor bills for NOT asthma.

No name diet. Basically if it's white it's gone - sugar in any form, white bread, potatoes, pasta -----------------------. Whole grains, fresh vegetables, protein, fruit, nuts all good. I'll make a meal including carbs/potatoes for the Princess and I will eat the protein and two fresh vegetables. Good thing I love broccoli. I do eat pasta and potatoes, but minimally. I have never liked soda so that is not a problem. I do, however, loved baked goods or chips, but I just grab a handful of pecans or walnuts. Yes, I do cheat. On my diet. :p

Thanks! I'll have to try that. I do love potatoes and pasta a lot unfortunately but maybe I could find something else. Wonder if there's healthier pasta type things. And no sweet potatoes either? Or are those okay? I assume not cause they still have carbs but I much prefer sweet potatoes to regular potatoes. I don't really like soda either or potato chips so that's not so bad but I do lpve other snack foods like pretzels, crackers, popcorn, tortilla chips, etc. And baked goods too. But I think my biggest thing atm is probably bread and snacks. I constantly need to snack. Sometimes I don't even eat all 3 full meals and just snack/graze throughout the day or when watching TV. TV is a big one. Have to be snacking on something.

It's not cheating Sour, it's keeping things in moderation and you seem to do it well.

X2

Need to post your transgressions in the Sin Bin! :gig

IBS is great for weight loss trust me let me loose often I eat once a day at dinner other times I have breakfast

Doctor thought I had that many years ago. Turned out it was just anxiety of the highest degree. Got the anxiety under control and no more bad stuff.

I thought I did too but have noticed it only seems to be when I'm really stressed out or eat like crap. When I eat better and am not stressed, I'm fine.

Doc said it is probably has to do with Graves that will not leave me alone

That stinks, sorry

Only if there's a statute of limitations.

That sounds awesome! We used to have some kits too and Lincoln logs. Did you ever figure out what the real problem was?
