Yes Diva I have the pleasure of no thyroid now ... screws in my left set off at airports have a card they gave me but mine do not stick out quite as far ... My pain is the arthritis in the knee and pain from the screws no normal in the body
No arthritis yet, but sure can tell when the weather's gona change. I'm carrying 2 1/2 lbs of titanium in my right leg, a few grams in the bridge of my nose, a plate in my forehead and 63 cents in my pocket

Not funny Sour or Sean. X-rays are not our friend. I have gotten a load of them since my sister developed breast cancer at 35 or 36. Hers was a rare type.

My mother got estrogen dependent breast cancer at 65 - don't 'get' that because she was well past menopause - so loss of calcium. Refused chemo & radiation even though it had spread to nodes. Got recurrence 11 years later and died.

Don't remember what my sister was treated with .She did have surgery. Then she developed overactive thyroid. Didn't want any more surgery so had radiation to knock out thyroid and on thyroid supplements since then.

Because of sister got first mam. about 31 or so. Then after 40 had them every two years, then later every year. They also do extra x-rays "just because" mine do not cover the whole glass platform. Female techs at least know what torture it can be and are very apologetic. They are just doing their job.:barnie
dd, you should know that's how natives deal with bad situations....you have to laugh or you'll cry....and that doesn't help the situation at all.
