I'm the same way about the classics, still haven't read To Kill a Mockingbird, eventhough it was written about the area where I live now.

I did enjoy every literature class I took in college and discovered several authors who are still beloved to me,but they tend to be lesser known.

I've always enjoyed reading, just about anything (except the bodice rippers :sick ). I was reading when I started school...started with the old Nancy Drew mysteries  . To Kill A Mockingbird is excellent Becca, you ought to give it a try! John Steinbeck was always one of my favorites too...Cannery Row, The Grapes of Wrath, great stuff.

I could only open the second article to the 2nd page. Can you PM the entire article to me? I did work for an avian veterinarian who would only trim beaks with a dremel tool,so as not to cause pain to his patients. I'm sure I would not try any other method.
I'm afraid I can't; at least not at the moment.
I have a bit of a secret. My niece has a university access pass for research usage.
The pass worked fine until a few months ago when she changed her base for her PhD studies. I've asked her for the new pass but I haven't heard back from her yet. She's in some jungle somewhere.

Mitch Albom is fantastic! The Five People You Meet In Heaven was one of my favorites as was For One More Day.

Years ago I belonged to a classics book club and read through a lot of them. Now once in a while I still enjoy reading Charles Dickens, Pearl Buck and a couple others.
I'm a Dickens fan.

I used to read a lot. Now I write more.
The last book I read was The Inheritors by William Golding.

I had to look that up, sounds really interesting! I think Lord of the Flies is the only thing I've read by Golding (and that was a long time ago).
