Curious why you’re rehoming the Sussex?

I need to cut back because my health has not been good and maintenance is getting to be a bit much. Plus they will be 2 years old in September. Laying will start to decline. And i have hatched out a bunch of Tolbunt Polish so i will need room for them.
Speckled Sussex are one of my favorite breeds though.

I'm letting my hair grow. To expensive for a real haircut. Too lazy to cut it myself. Ten minutes of cutting and usually half an hour cleaning up sink,floor, counter tops, clipper etc. Nah, it can wait.

I cut hubby's hair outside on the porch. Mess blows away, or the birds get it.

My niece cuts my hair. If I go to a barbers they try to make me look smart......it's a total waste of effort. Unfortunately my niece is away in some jungle or other chasing birds.
I look like a complete mad man atm.

I just let my hair grow until it gets really long and then i donate it for kids with cancer, to make a wig.
When i had my eyebrows raised, they cut my hair along the hairline and now i have a bit of bangs that stick up

Ahh okay. That makes sense then. Sorry about your health Do you breed the Polish?

And yeah, I was wondering because I thought I remembered you saying that so was curious why you would give up your favorite breed but your reasoning makes a lot of sense. I am getting one in April (along with 4 other chicks) so I was worried maybe there was something wrong with the breed or something now haha

I hatched chicks from the Buff Laced Polish, though not a lot because it is expensive to raise them. I have raised quite a few Tolbunts, people get $10 a chick. I dreamed of having some for years but never found any. I couldn't find eggs for any price, even on Ebay. So i figure they should sell well.

Oh wow that’s awesome! Hopefully they will then! Sounds like not a lot of people have them!
