That's intetesting. So the shell is just white but it's speckled? Does it come and go with the laying cycle like chickens?

Actually, some of the eggs are blue or celadon green under the pigment. Look inside the shells. Not sure about the laying cycle. Sometimes she lays plain eggs, sometimes speckled.

The inner membrane on a few is blue, this one has the blue pigment on the outside bit will check the inner today, I hard boiled a few.

Have you tried taking nap with a couple of roosters crowing a couple of yards from your bed.

Nope! I can’t imagine that would be very pleasant.

Not a blue egg but I did get the first quail egg today. The Quail are 7 weeks old
