I could use some!
Ok, I was just curious, if it was suppose to be Celadon and you didn't get a blue egg...that would be a big disappointment! No a regular Japanese Quail. There were posts today about someone have a Celadon though.

Thanks! Smells too good to turn it down.
Because it happens at any hour of the day or night, it is repetitive and they can't control it. Doesn't bother me, but hubby hates it when he is trying to sleep.I don't understand the above with regard to legality. I was just commenting on the fact that some people find the crowing annoying.
Are you quarantining him?Well he's good looking and young.
Nice temperment, raised in a multi generational flock with a good flock master to school him. Older hens to keep him humble! Said to be respectful of humans, even friendly : but was incubated inside and handled alot. I will allow him whatever space he may require; let him grow up.
Also we have a coop for him, so if the introductions get too rocky we can put him in time out for a couple days. One other factor is you and your peer group of rooster wranglers are here to guide me through.![]()
California has way too many rules and laws. Each County has their own rules sadly. It pays to know what is allowed where you live here. The person that lost the roosters was in Glenn county, California
Yes, I posted back in the thread that we built a coop/run for him.Are you quarantining him?
