Yes, the State Championships. He is through the pre-lims and into the quarter-finals with a pin.
We got tickets from a friend whose team did not send any kids and they are amazing seats, a catered theater box, private bathroom and vip parking. The full bar is closed because it is a kid's event but seriously, what a score for a bunch of mountain hillbillies! I am sure we look a little out of place but we are loving it! Way too funny and a bit on the Seinfeld side for sure....

Coffee is on. It's Friday

It rained all day yesterday and it's been raining all night. There was snow in the valley yesterday so it's rather chilly for us. I snuggled up with the pups after hot chocolate, I may or may not have had an extra shot, and promptly fell asleep last night. No dinner, still in the clothes I wore all day.

I'm headed for the shower and some hot coffee. Have a great day everyone

I haven't slept much all week and I was becoming rather grumpy. Since we rarely drink it's a last resort that helps.

IM spend an hour- hour and a half on the phone with my brother OR sister and I guarantee you will fall asleep. I start falling asleep just waiting for their calls.

We're the same here...rarely have a drink but when we do, it's an early night

When we lived in Key West, one of DH's jobs was leading the Pub Crawls. I think he had enough of seeing people over-imbibe.

I imagine so, I would get tired of it too. I have no problem with drinking, but not to excess.

Igor and I went to dinner with another couple for my birthday. The husband was a major drinker and passed out at our table while we were eating. I was so embarrassed.

What kind of way is that to say "happy birthday"? Sheesh, I would have gotten up and left him passed out at the table all by himself.

When I was in my early 20's I worked for a while at a neighborhood bar & grill. That was enough to cure me of overindulging.

That's me when I plunk down and take a nap, no dinner or else food on table and ignored. Still in clothes and sometimes shoes ( my bad) and with the weather radio going. Plus lights on throughout the house.

Naps just happen like last night. My brother talked to me on the phone for 1 hr.37 minutes. I fell sleep with phone (cordless) on bed. Luckily I didn't knock it off. I really love that phone. BTW I was already in bed because when he called, I can prop the phone near me and not have to hold it that long.

That sounds like the ultimate in being comfortable DD

I turned off the light and intended to have a scrub first but Igor said I wouldn't wake up

My parents have snow at their place, just a dusting. Are you up to your ears yet?

My MIL talks like that. It is weird how a person can talk so much yet say so little.
