BYC Café

I was thinking the same thing for breakfast, except not yeast rising batter and not waffles but pancakes. ;)

Ooohhh I love pancakes too!! Can I have some of those too? I have blueberries too if you could please make some of mine blueberry? :drool

Yes! I am making a half recipe but it still makes a lot of waffles...Maybe I should make a double recipe!

Yay!! And yes! Please do! You really should so that way we can all eat enough of them :drool

The yeast raised recipe is awesome! They taste like doughnuts

Oooooohhhhhh that sounds soooo good!!! :drool and I can imagine them carmalized or dipped in chocolate. :drool

Bacon in the fry pan here. It is snowing down here as well. We have about 5 inches so I guess it is one of those wait and see what happens. Thanks for the coffee and the eggs will be up in a few...

Bacon and eggs sounds good too!!! Can I have some of that too please? We are about to make eggs too and possibly pancakes or bacon. Have bananas, strawberries, and blueberries too if anyone wants. Might make strawberry banana and/or blueberry pancakes.

Only if you have REAL maple syrup......mmmmmm

That is the best!!

I do! It is from Costco

Ooohhhh delicious!! Wonder if BJs carries it. I love it but it is so expensive. We sometimes get the real stuff when we are in Vermont, Maine, or New Hampshire. So good.

Morning Margie, bacon and eggs sounds good on a cold snowy day!

X2

Can you share that recipe? :drool Or will you make me go to a baking thread?! :th

I would like it too.

Maple syrup (the real deal) is the only way to go!

Yup!! The best!! Sometimes can be a little strong though depending what grade.

Yeast raised Pancakes

"These tender and golden pancakes from Dorothy Smith of El Dorado, Arkansas are a little thicker than traditional versions, so they make a substantial breakfast. Be sure to make plenty, because the leftovers can be used in the unique recipes that follow."

Ingredients:

4 cups all-purpose flour

2 (.25 ounce) packages quick-rise yeast

2 teaspoons sugar

2 teaspoons salt

3 cups warm milk (120 to 130 degrees F)

2 eggs, beaten

1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted

Directions:

In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, sugar and salt. Add milk(add ¼ more milk if too thick), eggs and butter; beat for 2 minutes. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 30 minutes. Pour batter by 1/2 cupfuls onto a lightly greased hot griddle; turn when bubbles form on top of pancakes. Cook until second side is golden brown.

:drool :drool that sounds sooooo good.

That is a really good recipe Ron, it's the one I use whenever DH & I want pancakes. I think I got that from you on the Home Baker's thread.

I have got to try it!!

Thank you so much! :ya Can’t wait to try them!!

Same!!

It is in the index There!

They make very good pancakes and waffles

Sounds like it!!

The waffle iron is hot now and I will be baking them soon

Ohhhh yummy!!

Have lots of coffee too. My mom got a few variety pack things (on sale 75% off so she only paid like $6 instead of $26) that include all of these.

And can get any of these flavors and brands.

https://www.keurig.com/brands

Surprisingly, lots of good brands come in Keurig now. But if you don’t like the Keurig pods (which is understandable cause it seems to me like there would have to be less coffee in it or preserved somehow), we can get the same exact brand and flavor in “regular” coffee form or even any other brand or kind not listed there. The possibilities are endless. Even coffee beans for those who prefer to grind their own (I think there was at least one). Endless possibilities and potential. Help yourselves. Or if you’d rather, choose your flavor/brand/style (Keurig, regular coffee machine, or beans), and I can make it fresh for you! :D

@room onthebroom sorry, I wasn't trying to wish the NC down on you! Actually, I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

Off to find another cup of coffee...

I know! :hugs I shouldn't mess with you before you've had your coffee. :bun Did you see what my computer did... I quoted you & kdog & it blended you.... So weird!

I love the Green Mountain Breakfast Blend, its my favorite. I've been drinking Kirkland's breakfast blend lately tho... Its very similar, but much cheaper.

I’ll have to try that one!!
