I just found out my favorite bakery in San Diego is permanent closed after 50yrs. I say my favorite, but its the only bakery I go to in this area. They were family owned & in business for 83yrs. I know people have real problems, but this is just sad. The building was a landmark.

I'm sorry to hear that yet another small business is folding. It's happening all to frequently.

Hey busy bee! Thanks for taking time out of your project to make a fresh pot, its delicious! If you feel like it would you post some pictures when its finished?

Here ya go. Hubs needs to cut one of the pavers for the corner there and I'm not going to be able to finish until Sunday down at the other end. I'm still debating what I'm going to do along the patio where the pavers will terminate. That's chicken territory out there.

Please pardon my grass, it's still coming back after winter.

Here ya go. Hubs needs to cut one of the pavers for the corner there and I'm not going to be able to finish until Sunday down at the other end. I'm still debating what I'm going to do along the patio where the pavers will terminate. That's chicken territory out there.

Please pardon my grass, it's still coming back after winter.

You been workin' your butt off! Its gonna be so awesome when you get it finished! I know it's not easy to get those big pavers lined up square too. Good job girlie! Btw; our grass is weeds. We just mow it level so it looks good from the road.

Thanks Becca! Our only grass is in the dog yard and it takes a beating. The best part of letting my chickens have the backyard is that I have no weeds. It takes too much water for grass so I'm slowly landscaping the yard with desert plants and their help. Like, it's taking me years. This place was a disaster when we moved here.

Well I got good news today too! My DS who is at Notre Dame has made the Dean’s list! She’s going into veterinary medicine.

Our favorite Italian restaurant (in Fort Collins, CO) went the same way...family run forever, the current couple that ran it for over 30 years retired but no one else in the family wanted to take over.

You would never know it. It looks good now. A few Acacia and Palo verdi trees and viola! Shade and good desert habitat.
