BYC Café

Many, many years ago I baked for a living. We always froze all our cakes before frosting. Eliminated the chance of tearing apart.

That does work well (when I have room in the freezer :) ). Easy tip to follow, thanks Pert!

room, get out the parfait cups, or champagne glasses, small coffee cups....Add a little whipped cream, then some of the crumbled cake, then a little more whipped cream, then more cake in each of the cups/glasses as individual servings. It looks pretty, and as if you intentionally smooshed up the cake.

That's a great idea GAC!

I may have to watch that!! Was the cake even still edible? Lol
The judges said that the flavor was a bit weak but that might have been from adding the incorrect amount of ingredients

Oh that’s good then!

Hmm. Maybe they should be on americas worst cooks :lau
It was funny! I can sympathise though with cakes falling over and using the wrong filling for the layers. They sued vanilla bavarian cream which is not thick enough for holding up a cake

Hm that is very true too!! Cakes fall apart easily too lol doesn’t necessarily mean they’re bad at it, you’re right.

Although have you ever seen that America’s Worst Cooks show? That one is funny too lol

Yes! I think there is a new season going now.

With cord cutting, it is not that easy to see the Food Network show.
