We grew up living in a house that was inside the first rows of a Prune Orchard. We were outside a lot and needed the knife and chap stick often. That's too funny. I've always got my pocket knife and my chapstick, always. Except my "chapstick" is the round blistex things instead!
This has transferred to my daughters though. My oldest was very excited when I gave her a pack of pocket knives for Christmas one year.
It's been around the world, literally. It sits in a pouch on my belt and my slingshot sits in a pocket in my trousers.

I'm the same way. In every vehicle, every room of the house, at work. I'm a wreck if I can't find one for a few minutes
Most of my family wear boardshorts. Check out the tiny pockets. They must've been made for chapstick addicts.
