Soooo, the flush mechanism on the toilet has packed up. Now I like Spain. I like what I know of the Spanish mostly. But, the technology stuff they make is shite. This may seem like a typical Shadrach sweeping generalization but until you've had the misfortune of buying something with the made in Spain logo on it you won't fully appreciate just how shite stuff is.
There are beasties living in the water heater cupboard. I'm not sure which species is responsible for the intermittent service; there are a few to choose from who are shortly going to be homeless.
The sensor in the water deposit has decided up is down and this means you have to check the tank level by eye.
And to finish the list for today my front door handle is now in my hand but I'm nowhere near the door.

I am now on broody number three. She, Astrid, also seems rather serious about it. She happens to be besties with Barb who is on the nest.
After reading about Shad's adventures with double broodies and my ladies being first timers, Astrid is in the crate. I think I'll need a fan blowing under her to really do any good with this heat. I hope she breaks like Rhoda did. I don't need to deal with all these crazy girls.

Penny, glad to have you back in the Cafe, especially when you bring food! I will have to try that recipe. Hope that DH gets on the trial, DL, fingers crossed for you.
DS@ called from Canada. They are up in Alberta and he is enjoying the new experience of the long days. They are being fed well and just digging/ cutting (creating) fire line on their section of a huge fire. Chuckegg Fire ?
