G'morning cafe.

Shad, I've had a few of those days recently. It'll get better. Meanwhile, try the hammer!

Margie I hope your son stays safe!

Sean, is it getting easier as you get back into the swing of things?

Dinner is in the oven, it's almost done, and it's time to start the salt mine. Have a great day all!

Shad, sorry you're having a bad day...it will get better!
Nope, it's just got much worse.:(
When I woke up this morning there was a chick on the floor. The chick is fine, but I don't know how. It's a two and half foot drop!
Ruffles was still in the nest with Tackle.
Eventually Ruffles gets off the eggs and gets on the floor with the chick.
Tackle gets on the eggs. There are cheeping noises coming from underneath Tackle.:th
I put Ruffles and the single chick in the Maternity unit. There was no way the chick was going to get back into the nest and Ruffles legs were beginning to pack up and she couldn't make it back up either.
If Tackle hasn't been there this wouldn't have been a problem. I could have just put the nest box on the floor if necessary.
Ruffles is fine in the maternity unit and has shown no signs of wanting to come back to the nest box in the house.
Meanwhile, Mel has decided she wants to lay her eggs in the Maternity unit and gingerly squeezed past Ruffles and is laying in the coop part.
The door handle is in my other hand now and I'm still nowhere near the door.
I'm just going to have to let this all play out. Whatever I do isn't going to make anyone happy. I can feel some emergency building coming on.
