Morning cafe, thanks NFC I thought the coffee was particularly delicious this morning.

Which brings Shad to mind...I hope the gremlins at his place haven't taken over his computer now!

Good morning, Cafe. Thanks for the coffee, Debby. I took the last of the pot and made a fresh one. I hope it is up to snuff for Ron and Shad.

Sour, you and your wife are one of the "great couples" of the world. I know of only 2 others. One of those couples are my floating friends. Good for you both.

I'm actually getting a little nervous for Barb. The eggs are due to hatch Thursday. I did not toss her off the nest this morning like I usually do. She'll have to take care of herself the next few days and make her own decisions about leaving the nest. She is a first time broody hen so I have no idea what to expect.

I think I will lock her in the brooder tonight so no one can bother her. One of the pullets was in her nest 2 days ago kicking around the straw and likely jostling the eggs. Can't have that.

Morning! It rained here again and it is 45F this am. Kinda burrrr with the humidity.

Thanks for the coffee you all. We are off to get DS$ his sports physical exam required to play school sports, sigh... then more chores and then weight training.

It was a nice 51* here this morning but expected to go up another 40 degrees later today I'm ready for some cooler fall weather! Have a great day Margie!

I've made a small pot of coffee for those that haven't got their heads buried in ice buckets.
102 F here and no sign of any let up. Chickens and ducks okay with the heat so far. They don't tend to struggle until it gets past 110 F. When it's that hot they just don't come out from under the bushes.

Heck, at even 102* I wouldn't come out from under the bushes.

Site says that the game has been rescheduled, but does not indicate the time or place. There is a game at 12:15 today. Hopefully we will get more information then. There is also an 8:30 game from last night that has been rescheduled.
