How special is it Sour?

This season the coaches of grandson's old team wanted to consign him to 'pitcher only' status - no at bats, and no playing in the field. That was unacceptable so grandson joined this new team where he pitches, plays second base and has his turn at bat. It was tough for him as he played with this team for 5 or 6 years and these kids are his buddies. So far in this game he has had an RBI and been part of a crucial double play. Score is 3/2 favor of his old team top of the fifth. Kids and parents of the old team are great, and wish them nothing negative - just would like to make a point to the old coaches. I do have that side to me.

16 - he's the youngest of the lot. We have 5 grandkids ranging from 16 to 23.

He's good with it. Still interacts with the old team mates, and is accepted by the new. Princess and I interact with both sets of parents. Funny thing today one of the old team mates hit a double , and the Princess yelled, "Way to go, Kyle." I said, "Remember, we don't root for him anymore."

He's fine. He recovered from Saturdays insults. No further issues.
I expect it to take months before he really settles down.
