All my plans have been laid to waste; Fat Bird has decided to sit.
I try terribly hard not to have favorites but Fat Bird has a place in my heart and I can't refuse her.
She's done this four years in a row now. She breaks most of the eggs and because she has been 'reluctant' to mate since the death of her man, Major, the likelihood of any of her eggs being fertile is slim.
She's nine years old now and has never sat and hatched while all the other hens in her tribe have.

and then was fumbling to get the door open. I had thankfully thought to unlock it from inside the mall/doorway so that it was open when I got there but of course in the middle of a storm it couldn’t open fast enough LOL it was that huge tropical like weather we had recently with the huge downpours and the tropical light up the whole sky kind of lightning we never usually have. I sat in my car a while after and waited for the rain to die down some but it really wasn’t so I finally left. I mean, it had died down a little bit, but still coming down pretty hard. But before that it was REALLY coming down. But I just wanted to get home. Probably not the safest or smartest thing in the world cause it was practically right over the mall but I made it lol
garlic butter and Italian meatballs made made 20 with my cookie scoop so half in freezer, Bowtie pasta with pesto tonight home made bread will be under the broiler for garlic bread
