Why can't they shake off from their dust baths before laying their eggs? Is that really asking so much?

Nice pictures, Dave!Well the family is finally gone! Earlier than expected too! There was a will issue with them. My dad apparently got a family heirloom. It’s been in our family since the early 1800’s apparently. It’s a nice walking stick. Supposedly sacred. In other news I got more pics of my animals! Thanks to DB for showing me how to edit pics on my phone. Got a few guineas in the pics, a nice shot of the voluptuous Miss Piggy Sue, a pic of one of my roosters (with a curious turkey) and pics of my newly born bunnies!!!!! They are 11 days old. There are more than these, but these were the ones uncovered.

Thanks!!!! I really appreciate it. Btw my duck has started to lay eggs. She is a solo duck and has a drake (two but hop-a-long can’t mount even in the water). I want some to hatch but I have no idea if pekins go broody.Nice pictures, Dave!
Had a fair bit of that here. Mornings glorious blue sky then mid afternoon the clouds roll over the ridge with full orchestra and light show. I wouldn't mind if it chucked some rain down but it blows away down the valley. The thunder rolls and the lightening strikesFeel like I've been singing this song for a week!
Lucky them.

Nice pix! A lots been happening at your place.
I'd love to hear the story behind the stick if you ever want to tell it. Did they come all the way from Germany because they wanted it? Why is it sacred? Did it all end well, or did they leave with more baggage than they came with?![]()
