I've been so darn lucky with the weather here lately. It's gorgeous here again and expected to be more of the same tomorrow.
My cranberry viburnum is looking splendid! Except for the leaves that got chewed on by some caterpillars. But they got theirs! I picked them off and fed them to the chickens!!
Looks good!

And the chickens got a treat too

They are edible but I've never harvested them. I leave them for the birds hoping to get a visit from a flock of Cedar Waxwings.

A small flock of about 4 visited the chicken bush this spring. Just for a day but it was nice to see them.
That's a lovely looking bird to have visit your garden.

That is good to know!! Thank you! Wasn’t sure if they would be.

I will make cucumbers with them then. Picked about 7 or 8 today so should be perfect.

That said, any ideas what to do with this HUGE one? :lau

Picked it Monday, didn’t notice it when I picked the other veggies Sunday. Haven’t found a use for it yet.

Girl, you are at it again! 5 pictures of one cuke? :lau

Some of that stuff is just plain stupid and lack of common sense! Choosing the steepest, most difficult trail on the hottest day? Not bringing any water? Says they were “fitness coordinators” whatever that is? Probably a little cocky or arrogant and thought they were in great shape and could handle it. Maybe they could. But even the most in shape, experienced person needs water. That’s just dumb to not bring any and to come totally unprepared. They are lucky they didn’t die.
You just can't fix stupid. I take water with me anywhere I go, even shopping I put a cooler in the car full of water.

Yeah I always have a water bottle or glass of water somewhere! Sometimes multiple glasses in multiple places. :lau

We had a flock of them visit us in FL and several beat themselves to death on our pool cage. I was so upset.

Yeah I know :lau

I was trying to accurately capture how big it actually was LOL

Those aren’t even all of them either. I actually took like at least 9 of it :lau
Once upon a time you had a roll of film, with a limited number of exposures. And you had to pay to develop all of them. Made you more careful about how many pictures you took.
