So, I had a goose die last weekend that was mated with a gander. I have one goose left, but they don't "hang" like the other two did. The gander seems to have taken interest in one of my brahmas... Anyone seen such a thing? He follows her around and she seems completely oblivious.

I do still have three broody hens. Ladies they are not.
I must confess I've had an epic fail in my resolve. I went to evict a couple yesterday. Stuck my head in the coop to be greeted by three pancakes. They're not fighting. No eggs have been broken. They come out every day under their own steam to eat, poop and bathe.
The problem is the men and it's my problem rather than the hens.
Honestly. I'm such a soft touch.

Good morning, Cafe.
I've made another pot. Have at it.

We still have lovely weather here. I think it is at any rate as I abhor the heat. I hope it holds out for tomorrow's lunch cruise on Seneca Lake.

Today I'm going to finish and hang the front windows on the coop and try my hand at glazing one of the older windows that need it. Never done that before but at least it's just a coop and the chickens won't care if I do a lousy job!
