Poor Seneca laid an egg in an egg.
I wasn't thinking and didn't take a picture before I cracked it as I thought it was just a double yolker. Then I started messing with the shell-less egg inside the shelled egg and popped it.
This is the shell next to the last normal egg she laid.

I have seen that once or twice.

All the birds I have had and raised...I never have had a double yolk layer or 2 eggs in-one laid.

I've had several double yolkers.
The egg within an egg, this was a first. Very odd.
Seneca went into one of the nest boxes this morning when I was cleaning the poop boards and she was out in the run when I was leaving for work. I hope she left a normal egg.
I also have another new layer. Beautiful darker speckled brown egg. Either one of the Cuckoo Marans or Welsummers left that.

Good morning, Cafe. Thanks for the coffee. I added a little cocoa powder and almond extract to mine. Yum.
Things are getting truly interesting here at work. Our last gold line operator gave his resignation yesterday. Last effective day will be 9/12. We had three operators for three shifts. We now have none.
It will be one alternate, former gold line operator covering Fri-Mon and two engineers trying to bring the last of the product through the tool.
