BYC Café

Belated good morning Café.
We're low on coffee so I made a fresh pot.
Last day of the rat race for me this week.
We had another employee give notice today. Soon after I was asked if I could run the Baker lines and the ammoniacal stripper. Nope! Sorry. I could learn but still haven't been guaranteed a job at the Binghamton site. If they get around to spelling out the terms of a real job offer I'd be glad to step up.
Got to love those 'can you just step in here because we've messed up'. There came a point for me many years ago when my answer became 'are you going to pay me for it?'.

Drumstick Diva, I went back and deleted the meme you took offence to. It certainly was not my intent to hurt anyone. Perhaps my type of humor just doesn't come through well in text. My apologies to you and Meg if I upset you. I'll try to be more respectful in the future.
You're good @pertnear09 . I've never read an offensive post from you.

I remember when crackerjack prizes were good. I also remember getting great prizes in cereal boxes too. The best one was a little plastic dome in a box of sugar crisp that you could grow a plant in. My brother & I used to fight like crazy over those prizes. He was such a cheater. He'd eat like 5 bowls of cereal to get to it, or open the box from the bottom... Brat!
I remember those!:lau

By the way, good morning to all! Thanks for the coffee, sure needed it this morning. My husband startled me out of bed at 4:30 and said Stoli had "tree'd" a coon in the barn, so I had to go keep an eye on it while he got his gun. My big bear, still on predator patrol at 11 yrs old. Thank goodness she likes to sleep outside! But, where there is one there is more. I guess it's time to get the traps out :hmm
I'm glad we have so few daytime ground predators here.

He isn't here yet, should be this afternoon. His grandma and cousin in Cheyenne has a hard time letting him leave.

We have 3 house cats and sometimes they find them in the house. Unfortunately (or maybe it's a good thing), they just play with them to death then leave them.

The 3 golf course cats have done a great job of keeping those nasty rodents out of the club buildings! And they don't leave a trace :D
Have a good weekend with your son Debby.:)

Stop talking about the flu. :hit I don't often admit this, but I'm EXTREMELY germophobic & I'm going to be on airplanes visiting family this weekend. I might have to wear my hoodie backwards over my face.

I wish I could just take the broom.

Have a great weekend with your son Debby! :wee
You could get one of those masks the Japanese often wear.

I once had a department manager who would constantly shift new duties to my group. When I finally asked him why, he said, "Because you never say no." I changed my behavior.
