BYC Café

Good morning cafe. Thanks for the coffee Shad.

I have to go to the office for new equipment today, then drive out to get a couple of cockerels and a few eggs to hatch from a friend, then home; about 200 miles round trip. 95* today so I'm wearing shorts and flip flops, against office dress code but today is my day off so :idunno

Have a great day everyone :frow
Can you drive in flip flops?:th

Do you get mud slides off that bank?
Are the roosters for the three witches allowed conjugal visits yet?
Oh yes. We get mud slides off all the terraces. Sometimes it's just a couple of cubic meters, others it's 100s. We lose the track to the village most years at some point.
It's the tree damage that's a bigger problem. Water pouring down the mountain washes the soil out from around and under the roots of the trees and the tree falls over.:(
When it's bad you can sit in my house and hear one crack after another throughout the night as the trees on the ridges go over.

They all live together. The chicks were hatched in the coop nest boxes.
Punch and Mag eat with the hens and chicks and every now and then during the day one of them goes and checks on the hens and chicks.
It's impossible to explain just how funny the three witches and chicks are to watch.
The chicks spend more time running from hen to hen when the hens made I've found food calls than they do eating!
Then you've got Miss Neurological (Bracket) trying to boss everyone about. She's a complete air head but sweet with it. The other two hens (Hinge and Bracket) just sort of put up with her.
They are not the slightest bit interested in Punch and Mag. Punch and Mag know this and either sulk under a bush or go round looking for other chickens to annoy.
These two are just plain miserable without their hens.
