I'm sick to my stomach over it. He had declined so much by the time we got home I was shocked.
My friend, Michelle, who owns Ben's best friend, Shadow, met me at the hospital and stayed with me through it all.
He's not hurting anymore.

AW NO!! I'm so very sorry. What a beautiful Dobe he was.

Last dog I had to have put down was 14 in January '89 - still haven't stopped thinking about him. Vet had no idea what was wrong with him. He had developed a big barrel torso and could barely stand without assistance. I guessed it was some type of cancer or the result of being on triple sulfa since he was 3 yrs. old when he had bladder stones.

I am sorry you lost him! It is always hard even when it is the best thing for them
