BYC Café

Sounds like a great day for you, Queen and her new owner.

It was a great day. Queen went ballistic when she saw me, but evidently likes her new owner. He is a great guy who has had not had a lot of success at the sport and took on ownership of her at my recommendation.

Great pictures, great stories, as always. Thank you for sharing.
You have a lot of color there. We do too but it's all falling off the trees.
Is that a lavender plant Notch is standing next to?
I believe so. It something the chickens don't seem interested in destroying.

Having been woken up the past couple of nights by this little chap/chapess kicking the crap out of my alarm clock at 3am in the morning (I have no idea what it had against the alarm clock) and shredding an unbelievable amount of paper in the top draw of one of my chest of drawers, I finally bit the bullet and joined the the brave trappers of wildlife.
Despite my best efforts to reason with the little bugger from behind the safety of my mosquito net in the middle of the night, progress regarding what is and what isn't acceptable night time behaviour wasn't made.
I did mention that releasing into the wild somewhere was something I was considering and all I got was a lot of lip about the various Park regulations about relocating predators.
I checked through my list of lethal weapons suitable for dispatching pests at a safe distance and finally settled on sugar free peanut butter; I'm not all that clever at throwing knives and the slingshot used in the house is prone to giving rather a lot of collateral damage.
So, this morning I gave it it's last free meal and a a drink of water and carried it down to the donkey shed where I released it into one of the bales of hay stored there.:love
