BYC Café

Morning, all! Fairly nice temp-wise here today at about 42°. Supposed to get some hellacious winds, though :hmm Getting darker in the mornings and looking like snow.

How far do you have to go @N F C ? Safe travels!

Seems I missed all of the fun with you early risers and east coast-ers  Too funny.

What's in that soup there @penny1960 ? Looks delish!

My doc is about 1.5 hours from my house (one way). If you're out on I-80 this afternoon, wave! :gig

Yes! My fellas are both the finest of gentlemen.
No problems ever.
Biggest sales point for Miss Dobie to pick Fabio over Dexter the delaware.
I said they were amazing roosters and I did not lie.:)
Yes, but my boy Fabio turned into a flogging butt hole. I lost it on him the day after Ben died. I just couldn't take a drop of his flack that day.

Late good morning Café.

My rooster is flying!!

You probably have thin lightweight chickens right?
Fast chickens, not lumps with feet like mine.
In my defense I have some skinnies too, just to balance out the one morbidly obese cockrel.:)
Even odder, fat cockrel's mother is my smallest hen and I kept him initally because he was a runt.:lau
Never will understand those that compain about crowing.
To me that would be akin to gripeing about blinking or or poop flies.
It is going to happen, enjoy it or ignore it choose one.:)
There are so many different breeds here in the US!

I love the fat round bodies of the Dark Cornish too

He sure picked a bad time to try that. :hugs
Well, I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later. Maybe he sensed I was off and took advantage. Bad move.
He has been a little more cautious around me since then and Captain now looks at me as his hero.
Two nights ago I was working with the flock at night and Fabio put the run on Cappy in the cooo. Cap ran right for me and flew up on the open nest box door to escape his tormentor. Fabio, smartly, slammed on the brakes and did not pursue him into the brooder room where I was.

So cool Dobie! Are you putting it up for your house or do the chickens get it?
He's staying in the house. He'll be gold plated when he's finished.
The wire I had in his tail let go and he's tipping forward coming out of the nickel bath. I hope he doesn't fall out of the basket. :fl He's in the palladium bath now.
