Yeah, that sounds about right. It's a running "joke" that you go to our hospital to die. Pretty darn sad.

I'm going to have to try someone else, I suppose...

Shopping around for a doctor isn't fun but sometimes you find one that works out better for you. Good luck Meg!

For me, when I've lost one that was so special, another can't take it's place. But a new one brings it's own brand of special.

Everyone is different of course. I had a friend that lost her long-time tea cup poodle and she almost immediately got a new one. She was sorry later, she admitted she only got the new one to fill the hole the old one left. And it couldn't.
I have only lost a few dogs and they're irreplaceable, but the dogs I got after them have filled their own spot in my heart. I love them all. My beagle I didn't like at first (she had bad habits from previous owner), but 3 years later I can't sleep without her in the bed.

And a late good morning to everyone! Bright and sunny here and didn't freeze over night, again. Finally getting a little bit of fall with our winter.

Been struggling a bit with this holiday season. The year of firsts without Mama is turning out to be a rough one. Trying to stay positive and hopeful for better days, but some days are harder than others. My moms friend sent me a picture this morning of her daughter, Ma and me at the lake when we were kids. It would be nice to pop back in time for a bit.

If anyone else is in need of a hug today, I brought some along :hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs:hugs

The holidays are hard for me too after I lost my grandmother, but DH and kids always cheer me up.

:hugs

Those "firsts" are tough Meg. Many hugs to you :hugs

@N F C and @Meg-in-MT, I hope both of you can find the right doctors to help you. Being in chronic pain is the pits.
I'm in a similar situation but it's my eye. It always hurts and is red and I can see a little bump near the iris. I just signed up for vision insurance so I can get a good exam with a (hopefully) good doctor to find out what's wrong.

I know the feeling, Meg. Tomorrow marks the 2 year anniversary of my father's death. Not a single day has passed that I don't think of him and miss him.
So I'll take a hug or two and offer some of my own. :hugs:hugs:hugs

Yikes Dobie, eye problems have to be among the scariest. Best of luck finding a good doctor to help you out. :hugs
