BYC Café

Good morning Café, and thanks IM.

Can you believe I've looked at this grossness for 10 years in my kitchen? It's about embarrassing. Went back and forth about building a box/cabinet over it, painting it... Had settled with semi sorta covering it with a calendar  No more!View attachment 1978587Finally sanded it down last night and threw a few coats of paint on it. Much better:p

You even added new screws. Probably didn't know it looked bad until it looked better. :lau

@DobieLover that's a great update on the job. Makes me happy for you.

I believe you're right, Sour! Don't think I realized quite how bad it was until the paint job  I ended up taking some sand paper to the screws and hinges just to shine them up. They do look new, though! Good eye :highfive:

@DobieLover will you switch roles with that person for good? Or just so you both know how to do more jobs around there?

Thanks for the coffee, IM! Is your head all better?

How's @N F C today?

Thank you! It's challenging because it's new and requires a high level of detail.
The hours fly by.

I'll always be more hands on but I will take on more of what the other engineer is doing and possibly pick up one of our customers for me to handle. But that may be tough to do with my ever changing part time schedule.

I'm fine Meg, thanks for asking! How are you doing?

I was going to ask you...if you need any wind up there, I have a surplus to send!

I think I'd rather have the snow, that's how much I dislike wind

I'm doing good. Working on inventory :sick I feel like I've been doing it forever and ever and yet somehow I'm not half done haha. Boo.

Snow over wind - easy choice. Snow and then wind :barnie. Back in '67 daughter was two months old and we had a fairly significant snowstorm. Shouldn't have been a major problem, but it got really windy and our road had 6' to 7' drifts. Power went out, and it took 3 days and a V plow to clear the road and restore power.
