Fort Cluck have you checked Craig's List for low cost or free chain link fencing? It comes up often when someone gets rid of their dog. Makes it easy to put up the "bones" for bigger runs - just add some 1/2" hardware cloth up about 18" from the bottom. Sometimes they even sell or dump perfectly good dog houses - which can be repurposed.

I have my fencing all figured out already. I'm I'm just adding on. I have 7000 sq ft put up so far. I want to make it 9000 or 10,000

It's 56° outside! Very nice in the sun. I got out and filled up the waterers. Back inside for a break.

Got to watch my barred rock lay the pretty light-pinkish egg on the right. I always love catching them View attachment 1995671

I've run after a few pullets with my hand outstretched before when I've watched them lay; they think they are done (once the egg has got to a certain point in the oviduct I think they think they're done) It takes some a while to learn they have to look for the egg before they leave the nest.
