Never had it...I just brewed some Milk Oolong tea
Thank you for reminding me I better find a rubber mattress protector just in case the "inner baby," comes out.
I've been trying to figure out who was laying the pink! Voila@Meg-in-MT my barred lays pink eggs too! I love them. She's the loudest pullet we have
Ha, that's awesomeI've run after a few pullets with my hand outstretched before when I've watched them lay; they think they are done (once the egg has got to a certain point in the oviduct I think they think they're done) It takes some a while to learn they have to look for the egg before they leave the nest.![]()
I have four different pink egg layers... Barred rock, Delaware, polish, and white Cochin.I've been trying to figure out who was laying the pink! VoilaThat's funny yours does too, mustn't be all uncommon then.

That'll be a fun surprise. How many are you setting?I have four different pink egg layers... Barred rock, Delaware, polish, and white Cochin.
I've been wanting pink eggs for so long!
The new eggs that I'm getting tonight to put in the incubator should have some Olive eggers.
I honestly don't know what this guy has for hens or pullets. He buys them in bulk at tractor supply for 25 cents a piece so they could be anything.
I'm hoping we get some interesting chicks and maybe I will be able to post them on here and people can help me decide what they are.
I'm not very good at chicken breeds.
I think the run is what's most important, unless the weather is so extreme that the chickens have to be kept in the coop for a portion of the year.I’m not really sure yet. If I get another chain link kennel, those are usually 6x12 but I might piece two together and make it 6x24 or 12x12 or something.
I was gonna put the coop inside the run or like make the run a coop and run combined and I read they need more room if you do that so idk. If I do make an actual coop though, I’ll probably make them like 4x8. Though I’d love to do 8x8 haha but I don’t think I’m gonna build an actual coop. I think I’m just gonna do a couple big pens and put roosts and nest boxes in the back and maybe put some tarps or plywood or something around the back but idk yet ha I might need an actual coop with our weather hah
My current coop is 4x8 plus the nest boxes which are huge and a lot of roosts/perching space. And I have 11 in there now. And they seem happy.
I am planning on making the run bigger though.
He is giving me three dozen and I put in a half dozen yesterday. That'll be a fun surprise. How many are you setting?
