Her beard is all wet because she was playing in the water bowl.

I just came in after putting new nesting boxes in the coop. I'm trying cat litter tubs. She wants me to play because I left her for about an hour lol

Jolene and my cat Opie would get along great, he's a big water lover too. One of his favorite things to do is jump in the shower when someone gets out so he can get into the drained water.

I'll go check later to see if anyone laid in them yet. They were all looking at them after I put them up.

I've had rats under the duck shed on and off and got around to clearing their nests out.
I put wite mesh on the bottom of the duck houses which will at least stop the rats gnawing their way into the duck houses. It will also discourage them from making nests because they will have to dig now rather than just crawl underneath. 5 rats made a quick exit when I lifted the duck sheds; two nests. I didn't get pictures of the wire bases or the nests but I wanted to show what I did to make sure that the doors got properly closed.
The bar prevents the door from closing. You have to lift the bar to keep the ramp/door in place. The bar is weighted at the ends, so even if a predator manages to prise up one end the other wont lift.
Jenny and Solomon saw the rats leave and had a full on inspection after the work was done.

I wish he didn't live up to his name I thought after he'd been given the boot by his look-a-like heir, he had a change of heart. I found out this weekend that isn't the case.
