The head of a chicken is so small and the problems can be soo big.
I do know, if you think she is in pain. you can give 1- 325 mg aspirin crushed and mixed in 1 gallon of water Or 80 mg in a quart of water.

BB, hope your chook is doing better.
Nose coffee, sometimes we get desperate around here. We had 50 mph winds again but only a small half inch of snow for it to play with, so the going is still going and it warmed up overnight, 22 now. Woo Hoo!

Thanks for the good thoughts everyone. All I can say is prayer works because Nickel the Andalusian is 100% normal today! YAY! I went out to check on her just before going to bed last night and she was freaking out to get out of the hospital cage and go back with her coop mates for roosting. I was going to leave her in the hospital but she was acting so normal and her eyes were open and clear that I just put her in with the rest. My DD cleaned the coop this morning and said she doesn't look like anything was ever wrong. SOOOOO relieved!

I have had Chickens do that with a speck of dirt/feed in the eye or just being brushed with a wing tip can scratch the eye (had that happen to me before)

Good Morning Margie! at least you don't have to move much snow to do chores with only .5" to play with.

And I always thought 22* on the up side of zero was a good thing.

That's good news De'BB! She sounds like a fighter, that can be helpful.
