BYC Café

DeBB if you spread out some feed in the yard, do you think that could lure her back. If it is warm by you, you could try putting the other bird out in his cage. Maybe his bird talk would attract her. I am so sorry - I hope she comes back. I know so many people that have had that happen. Usually the bird is sitting on their head or shoulder and they forget about it and walk outside.

Thanks, I think it's a lost cause though. She's kind of a nut brain bird. I think she would've flew till she dropped. We live on the edge of Mt. Baker National Forest. She really took off. I'm honestly hoping that an owl or a bald eagle gets her...quick death rather than starving or freezing to death. Do I sound morbid and terrible?!?!

Eggsy, I'd love to have your husband come over anytime. I mean to fix the leak of course. Could he fit into my son's size medium LLBean Rugged Ridge parka it. It's a dark blue, no flames or graffiti detailing, I promise. He leaves it here because he claims Washington state never gets very cold.
He would love flames and detailing.

but he'd do with plain blue.

DD, I'm a good plumber and I can do roofing, but I stay away from electrical, sorry...

Best of luck TJO and DeBB!

Does this mean that an almost as old as DD, retired Aircraft Electrician who grew up as a farm boy (had to fix-it yourself to save money), don't like heights but will repair my own roof, don't deal with the cold very well anymore and, can do my own plumbing, is the only one who might be able to make a road trip to the Great White North?
Just a wildassed thought.

Sounds interesting Scott - are you bonded and licensed and insured ( it is icy and slippery now!) I think I'm getting heart palpitations - that's about as wild as I get.
