Went out to buy feed for the animals today. There are a towns in virus lockdown in the region and this is bound to increase as the virus spreads. All very orderly and apparently they are delivering to the lockdown towns.

I collect the eggs here and most I pass to the main house. I suppose on average I'm collecting eight to ten eggs a day.
I found six cartons of eggs ready to go into the compost today from the main house. I asked why they were throwing them out and got told they had gone off.
I took these eggs back to my house and picked one egg at random from each box and made an omelet. Not one egg was bad. Apparently they had been thrown out because the were dirty and had chicken shit on them.
I have explained that some of the eggs will be like this until the chicks stop sleeping in the nest boxes. I got a blank look and got asked "what chicks?"
Some days I just need to do this....

Maybe true for Bobcats but Mt. Lions kill people walking from the house to the coop. They are much bigger. Of course having mt. lions around you might be a reason to have an LGD!

Living in Juneau there was quite a few.. ferry up would stop in Ketchikan Ak
Eagles flying close guys on deck do not take small dogs out here they will be stolen..

Still smiling, penny. I try to minimize time spent in a bad attitude. Root canal is complaining a bit, but OTC pain relievers will help until the irritation goes away.
Coronavirus insanity is rampant here. We are well stocked with food, and I have started stockpiling feed in case supply gets interfered with. The first of the six spring federation field trials was scheduled to start this weekend. It has been canceled/postponed due to coronavirus fears.

I dare say Cougars have eaten bigger dogs too, when they can kill people!
