BYC Café

Good morning, Cafe. I've brewed the next pot to keep us all going.
I think Fabio is a just as pissed as I am about the 50 degree drop in temperature from yesterday to this morning. I blame Mother Nature. He however, blamed me and slammed into the back of my legs while I was filling the feed troughs. Turd. He got the squash and scoop again and had to stay with me for a good 15 minutes. I admit to having my hands around his throat more than once during those 15 minutes...
I kept explaining to him as I lovingly looked at Captain that Mr. Gorgeous over there will be happy to take your entire flock from you and one of his sons can come up as second in command. I could swear I heard Captain whispering "do it. DO IT!!" every time I had my hands around Fabio's neck.

I need to get this starter started, but I'm terrified I'm gonna do it wrong. This is so stupid. Its not like its a new baby or something.
Good news! You have two extra starts already if it messes up!

Relax! sourdough starter is very forgiving

I wish the media would stop conflating London with the UK/Londoners with Brits. The appalling behaviour on display in London is NOT characteristic of the rest of the country. The trouble is, the media live in the London bubble and assume what they see/hear/do is normal.

But, but . . . wait . . . you're telling me it's not true?
Next you'll say that all Americans don't live in New York? Or at least wish that they did?!

:frow Mornin', y'all!;)

that's great news. We've repeatedly been told that the food supply chain is fine as long as lots of people are not hoarding, and once the shops impose quotas of people or produce, and/or the hoarders' houses become stuffed, normal service should resume quite quickly.

The corner shops here have generally been unaffected, as hoarders head for the supermarket not the corner shop. Our local seized the opportunity and has had a stack of tp just inside the door for a week!
